Practical career guidance with #bestjobever

  • 7. October 2026

As part of the #bestjobever initiative, we were able to present our apprenticeship programme in automation electronics to Year 9 to 11 pupils at Leinetalschule in Hanover and Hölty-Gymnasium in Wunstorf, and provide insights into technical careers and apprenticeship opportunities.

The visit began with a brief welcome and Q&A session. This gave the pupils the chance to find out about apprenticeship pathways, career prospects and day-to-day working life. This was followed by a hands-on activity where the pupils could gain practical experience.

Our programme included a wiring exercise and a presentation of our climate chamber. Both stations offered the opportunity to experience technical tasks and applications first-hand.

The participants’ interest was particularly noteworthy. Regardless of their year group, the pupils took an enthusiastic part in the discussions and practical exercises. The friendly atmosphere and the very well-structured organisation contributed significantly to the success of the event.

“The open atmosphere and the pupils’ palpable interest made the visit a successful event with lots of interesting discussions”, says Sebastian, a third-year apprentice at onoff automations services gmbh, summarising his impressions.

#bestjobever is a career guidance initiative for pupils and young people in the Hanover region. It brings apprentices and young people into direct contact with one another and provides authentic insights into various career fields. The project is supported in particular by the Hanover Economic Development Agency, the Hanover Chamber of Crafts and regional partners.

We are delighted to be part of this important initiative and to support young people in their career choices, and we are already looking forward to next year.
